Not with proper specification. We use tempered double-glazed panels with low-E coating and argon fill, which gives an R-value of R-6 to R-10 and SHGC around 0.3-0.4. This keeps the garage only marginally warmer than an insulated steel door. The low-E coating is critical — without it, the garage becomes a greenhouse.
